ANZETA were proud to hold a WorldSkills Australia 2024 Regional Competition hosted at the NECA Education and Careers Dandenong Campus on Friday 5th July 2024.
ANZETA holds a Licence agreement with Worldskills to run this Electrical Apprentice Competition under their rules, which then offers the successful apprentices the option to go on to the WorldSkills National Competitions in Brisbane in 2025 and potentially the International Competitions in 2026.
The competition was a huge success with 12 participants from all states across Australia undertaking a range of specified tasks on the day. The competition outcome was incredibly close between the three winners; well done to all those apprentices who took part.
Three winners were crowned at the event’s presentation dinner. Congratulations to:
Gold Medal: Max Figgis – NECA Training and Apprenticeships ACT
Silver Medal: Ky Knight – Electrogroup Queensland
Bronze Medal: Cooper Inns-Mexted – Electrogroup Queensland.
The event would not have been possible without the support of our Major Partner: Energyskills Australia, NECA National and ETU National.
ANZETA would like to sincerely thank the judges, mentors, sponsors, ANZETA members, and the wonderful team at NECA Education and Careers Victoria for making this event happen.
